Accommodation

The House

The main house of La Maison des Grands Arbres is a traditionally thatched Norman Farmhouse with 8 bedrooms. The property has a swimming pool and is set in beautiful garden of 10 acres. The property backs directly onto the National Foret de Brotonne.

The Space

The accommodation works equally well for smaller groups, families with children and teenagers, as well as larger groups, however the house is not suited to large parties or gatherings. The house is arranged over two floors, sleeps up to 15 with 5 bathrooms and one additional downstairs toilet. There is also an additional Petite Maison, a converted bread oven building, on the property sleeping 4.

There is no smoking in the house and outside, particularly in the dryer, summer months, great precautions must be taken with cigarettes. We have buckets with sand available.

Logs provided - fires to be supervised and fire guard used at all times - fires to be completely extinguished at night

This is not a property for people with mobility difficulties.

This is not a property for large, loud parties or festivities.

The house holds years of family history and has a huge amount of traditional character whilst having all mod cons. The outdoor pool, pool house and converted bakery at the bottom of the garden make this house the perfect choice for your holiday in Normandy.

Main House:

Large Kitchen with two electric ovens, a five hob gas cooker, dishwasher, large kitchen table, fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and pots, pans, serving dishes. Larder with microwave. Laundry room with two fridge/freezers, washer and dryer. Boot Room with coat hooks.

Smaller Sitting Room with large wood burning, open, working fire place and stairs to main bedrooms - logs provided - fires to be supervised and fire guard used at all times - fires to be completely extinguished at night

The house offers many places to relax, have a yoga session, do a puzzle or gather everyone for a pre dinner drink

Full WiFi throughout most of the house.

Available: puzzles, games, colouring, crafts - plus - Outdoors - darts, table tennis, hammock, trampoline, swings, sand pit, baseball, badminton, a vegetable and soft fruit garden, when in season…We have direct access to the forest.
