The Old Thatched Norman Farmhouse is set in 10 acres of land. In the garden is the Petite Maison which can also be opened up and used if you need the space. It is the former bread oven and has been converted into sleeping only accommodation. The Petite Maison is never rented out separately.
There is also a private pool which is unheated and available only in the summer months.
There is parking for several cars.
The house backs onto the Foret de Brotonne, the French National forest and we look towards the Seine River. We are about half way between the seaport of Le Havre and the medieval city Rouen. The Pont de Brotonne is a wonderful view from our garden, especially when it is lit up at nights on the weekends. The bridge is also our easy access to the north side of The Seine.
Due to the thatch and gardens, fires are a risk. A barbecue is available as are wood burners for heat, but they must be very carefully attended.
